Winter Quarter 2012 - Training and Development Opportunities

The Cal Poly Corporation Human Resources Department announces the following training and development courses for Winter Quarter 2012. Unless otherwise stated all courses will be held in the CPC Conference Room (Building 15, room 124).

Supervisor Certificate Series

Recommended for all managers, supervisors, and employees aspiring to supervisory positions. You do not have to be a supervisor to attend these classes. Earn your certificate by attending ten classes.

  • Understanding Workers' Compensation and Employee Leaves: - Wednesday, January 18, 9-11 a.m.
  • Budgeting Basics: - Wednesday, February 15, 2-4 p.m.
  • Evaluating Performance: - Wednesday, March 7, 9-11 a.m.

7 Habits of Highly Effective People

A seven-principle approach to solving personal and professional problems. This seven session course will give you the tools for effective time management, the power of negotiation, setting goals and prioritizing your work and your life.

Sessions will be held on the following Wednesdays from 9 a.m.-noon (note the dates are not consecutive):
