Irrigation Training and Research Center
Pool will be used to fill vacant positions as they become available. Applicants will be kept on file until December 31, 2010.

Assists in the development of irrigation research and consulting projects.
Assists in the investigation and analysis of new materials, equipment and irrigation projects. Assists in the implementation of the various research and consulting projects. Often responsible for implementation of major segments of a project.
Assists or prepares time and cost estimates, surveys, statistics and designs for irrigation projects.
Compiles and analyzes data from irrigation studies/projects and assists with and writes technical reports.
Stays current with irrigation technology changes.
Assists in maintaining ITRC facilities and programs, including new construction projects.
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum B.S. in Agricultural Engineering with an emphasis in irrigation or very closely related discipline. P.E. license and M.S. desirable. Must have excellent time and budget management skills, demonstrated accurate project estimating skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work as an effective team member. Must be able to perform physical labor and work outside, as required. Must be able to travel domestically and overseas.
Support Engineer/Specialist I
Minimum B.S. plus one year experience and demonstrated knowledge in several areas listed below, or M.S.:
a. On-farm irrigation design, management and evaluation
b. Crop water requirements and salinity
c. Water balances
d. Supervisor control and data acquisition
e. Irrigation district modernization
Support Engineer/Specialist II
Minimum B.S. plus two years experience, or M.S. plus one year experience, as detailed above.
Support Engineer/Specialist III
Minimum B.S. plus three years experience, or M.S. plus two years experience as detailed above.
