Under the general direction of the Retail Accounting Manager, provide technical assistance and support in integration of system reporting applications and Campus Dining related software systems. Extend administrative support to the Retail Accounting Manager and Senior Retail Analyst and provide backup and support for the Customer Service Office as it relates to CBORD and CS Gold. Provide general accounting assistance including data entry, design, and development of accounting and statistical reports.
Support various dining specific software systems, including, but not limited to, EATEC, Micros, and CS Gold for Campus Dining. Oversee the daily performance of the computer systems and evaluate usefulness of software programs.
Provide logistical support for operating information systems to ensure accuracy, proper performance, and minimal downtime. Communicate with appropriate Campus Dining managers and supervisors regarding hardware and software problems. Coordinate the timely repair and replacement of equipment.
Provide technical support in integration of system reporting applications and extend support to the Retail Accounting Manager and Senior Retail Analyst. Assist in report design and development as it relates to dining programs, cash accounting office and other related areas.
Serve as the first point of contact for all information technology issues, respond to inquiries from computer users, and act as liaison with CPC IT and State IT. Run automatic diagnostics programs to resolve problems, if needed.
Assist in recognizing needs and using computerized tools and software programs to create necessary tools for managers to manage business.
Assist in the evaluation, testing and implementation of various systems and system modules.
Provide general administrative support for the Accounting Department to include data entry, design and development of reports as needed for financial and statistical reporting.
Provide backup coverage to the Customer Service Office as it relates to organizing and managing a traditional, debit, and charge meal card access system (CS Gold). Ensure that financial reporting is accurate.
Assist in streamlining cash office reporting and reconciliation.
Generate, interpret and distribute multiple financial and statistically related reports.
HS degree or equivalent and three years experience providing tech support for users of PC hardware and software on a LAN or equivalent combination of education and experience. AA with courses in IT or related specialized training preferred. Knowledge of POS systems and institutional food service desirable. Knowledge of accounting and business practices preferred. Experience with the maintenance of database system components including processors, operating systems, application software, printers, point of sale terminals, card readers, remote terminals, and communication software and hardware desirable. Familiarity with financial reporting and statistical and research methods. Understand, interpret, and apply policies and procedures to perform detailed administrative and technical work requiring judgment, accuracy and speed; understand and follow established procedures and policies; follow oral and written directions; analyze situations accurately and take effective action. Ability to work effectively with staff and management and ability to speak and write effectively. Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects. Willingness to work irregular hours including Saturdays, Sundays, and nights, if necessary. Must be able to cope with moderate stress in dealing with deadlines. Must have regular full time attendance.
